Recently, we had the honor of organizing an unforgettable field day at the stunning Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows. This event was all about fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and providing a refreshing mental break from the conference. What a resounding success!
A Beautiful Venue, Perfect for Team Building
Andaz Scottsdale’s picturesque setting, nestled near Camelback Mountain, offered an inspiring backdrop for the day’s activities. Its expansive lawns, sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance, and commitment to artistry and wellness made it an ideal location for a memorable field day.
Custom-Crafted Activities for Maximum Engagement
Our team worked closely with the SOLV Energy planning team to design an event around fun, a bit of silliness, and teamwork. Six teams of seven randomly assigned participants competed in four Field Day events. Mega Pong was a crowd pleaser, pitting teams head to head to sink the most balls in the pyramid of cups. Teams alternated shots until there were no more cups on the other team’s side. We had a few former hoops stars in the group that propelled their teams to victory.
Another great game was The Puzzle Relay which requires teams to earn puzzle pieces and assemble the puzzle as quickly as possible. It was clear that some teams had better puzzle solving skills than others; taking the corners and edge pieces first once they were earned. Some teams really excelled due to great strategy, leadership, and communication.
Skeeball Cornhole was a hit for the Red team, scoring an unbelievable 1510 points and taking home the highest marks.
The best game of the day was The Rock Paper Scissors Challenge. This frantic fun for everyone and made for some great bloopers, loud celebrations, and awesome video clips. Don’t forget, it’s 1-2-3-shoot!
